Maledetto, cosa mi hai fatto fare... mi sto già pentendo di tutto e sto già pensando a cosa ho escluso...

Comunque, ecco un breve riassunto di me stesso.

Nato a Milano nel '73, inizia come batterista improvvisato nei Wolfango nel '97, dopo di che fonda la propria etichetta Bar La Muerte con cui fa esordire diversi artisti italiani. 

In questo periodo suona con Bugo. 

Nel 2000 fonda insieme a Stefania Pedretti gli OvO, attivi ancora oggi come alfieri del noise italiano nel mondo.

Dovendo dar sfogo anche alla sua passione per la melodia, fonda il gruppo strumentale Ronin, ancora oggi attivo sia come band che come autori di colonne sonore per il cinema. 

Nel 2005 fonda con Giovanni Succi i Bachi Da Pietra, attivi ancora oggi. 

L'impegno con i 3 gruppi principali sembra per ora lasciare poco spazio alla possibilità di nuovi progetti, che tuttavia potrebbero prima o poi arrivare.

Allora, non volevo far piu premesse/introduzioni per le top10, ma per il losco figuro di questa puntata farò un'eccezione.

Paolo Petralia è colui che ha dato vita a S.O.A. zine nel 1989, presto diventata S.O.A. records, storica label dello stivale che ha fatto uscire, tra gli altri, dischi di Agathocles, Taste Of Fear, Comrades, Affluente, Ulcer, Rupture, Peggio Punx, Declino, ecc....

Ex cantante di uno dei miei gruppi preferiti in assoluto, i COMRADES, paladini del powerviolence italico, e cantante di COLONNA INFAME SKINHEAD e THE 80's (è appena uscito il loro nuovo disco, lo trovate, insieme a una cifrazza di altri dischi a prezzi ridicolmente bassi, sul mailorder http://www.soarecords.it/ , in negozio da HELLNATION a roma e probabilmente in giro per le distro)

Fondatore, insieme a sua moglie Alessandra,  di Vegan Riot ( http://www.veganriot.it/ ) , sito di cucina vegana, corsi di cucina e anche un libro di ricette "VeganRiot: la rivoluzione bolle in pentola."

Antischism s/t CD antologico
A cavallo tra la fine ’80 ed inizio ’90 gli Antischism gettano le basi per il neo-crust di qualche lustro successivo, contemporaneamente ai Contropotere e probabilmente senza nemmeno esserne granché coscienti. Voce femminile così come i napoletani, ma più feroci e diretti dei napoletani. Mai troppo passati alla storia, ingiustamente.


Atrox “fiori neri” LP
Italia 1990, l’hardcore è morto o quasi, i sopravvissuti suonano al Monster Of Rock, o si danno a cose più leggere. Gli Atrox, dopo un tot di cassette non tutte così orecchiabili, offrono allo sparuto pubblico rimasto un album stupendo su tutti fronti, dalle liriche immense dagli stop & go inarrestabili. Fuori tempo massimo, fedeli alla linea ma di 5 anni prima, improbabili nelle foto, gli Atrox hanno sempre raccolto la mia stima musicale, tutt’oggi. Il disco regge benissimo anche adesso il segno dei tempi.


Impaled Nazarene “Manifest” 
I gruppi hardcore che superano più di due album belli sono rari. O fanno cose sempre uguali come chessò i Sick Of It All, che trovata la strada giusta, continuano sempre a percorrerla. I gruppi metal danno più certezze, forse perché gira anche più soldo in quella scena. Ho tutti gli album degli Impaled. Avere significa materialmente avere, non mp3 del cazzo in un hard disk del cazzo. Non ho ancora preso l’ultimo degli Slayer, altra band di cui ho tutto. Mentre per gli Impaled non indugio più di qualche giorno alla compera del nuovo disco, appena esce. Non a caso ho un grifone della Finlandia tatuato sulla pancia, se questa non fosse devozione sufficiente. Perché proprio Manifest allora ?!? Perché sarebbe stato troppo semplice ficcarci dentro Suomi Finland Perkele, Latex Cult, un sempreverde All That You Fear o un maestro di cattiveria come Ugra Karma. Noi amanti della nicchia ci rotoliamo in questi pertugi. Manifest è l’ultimo disco bello degli Impaled, classico nella sua folle corsa verso il nuclear metal nichilista. Ascoltate la track “Pandemia” per credere e soprattutto recitatene i cori con il dito indice alzato al cielo a mo’ di j’accuse! Il seguente Road To The Octagon sancisce probabilmente una fase discendente della band, ma appena sarà pronto il nuovo disco, non tergiverserò più di tanto a comprarlo.


Side By Side “you’re only young once” 7” & discografia cd/lp 
Tutti quanti si affannavano all’epoca dietro ai Chain Of Strength, questa storia non l’ho mai mandata giù. Un disco scialbo e registrato male peraltro. E contemporaneamente non si dava il giusto spazio agli stupendi Side By Side, ingiustamente ignorati dalla massa, ma autori di un singolo perfetto nel suo hardcore minimale, sicuramente più hardcore anni ’80 che youth crew a tutti gli effetti. Una piccola perla.


Storm“nordavind” cd/lp 
Quando gente di Darkthrone e Satyricon si incontra, coadiuvati dalla cantante dei 3rd & The Mortal, in quel momento nello splendore luccicante del metallo nero norvegese, quello che ne esce fuori non può andare ignorato. Invece qualcosa va storto, gli Storm passano velocemente, accusati di nazismo e suprematismo della razza norvegese, tanto che la cantante prenderà le distanze dalla band in un successivo momento. Gli Storm in realtà erano troppo metal per piacere ai folk-neopagani e troppo folk per andare giù a tutti metallari doc. L’isteria di folk deathingiunesco ancora non si era affacciata nel 1995 e gli Storm finirono così la loro meteorica carriera lasciando uno stupendo album agli affezionati pochi fans, probabilmente cresciuti in numero dopo la dipartita della band/progetto stessa.


Paul Dianno “the classic Maiden Years” CD
Blaze Baley nessuno se lo ricorda più, voi stessi vi state chiedendo chi cazz’è. Eppure ha inciso lo stesso numero di album coi Maiden di Paul. Solo che Paul è Paul, anche adesso, pelato, tatuato in testa, sovrappeso, claudicante, evasore di tasse, senza un gruppo vero e proprio. Un vero e proprio rocker sfigato. Un “The Wrestler” dell’hard rock/metal se vogliamo. 
12 pezzi dei primordi maideniani risuonati da mezza formazione di italiani e ricantati dallo stesso Paul con un approccio alla volte più punk, alle volte più hard degli originali, piazzando anche un paio di gutturali grind qua e la. 
Paul Dianno che coverizza i pezzi che lui stesso cantava con i Maiden 25 anni dopo… ce ne era bsiogno ? Assolutamente si!


Anti Cimex “absolute country of Sweden” LP/CD
1990 presi questo disco da Andy della Full Circle, cantante degli Instigators, scrivo scrivo ma tanto non sapete un cazzo, voi. Avevo sentito degli reunion degli Anti tramite un carteggio-intervista con i No Security (che consiglio sempre…). Sul disco compariva questo poco vivace adesivo nero che recitava “no metal, no funk, no death, solo puro e semplice discharge-hardcore… il modo in cui dovrebbe sempre essere”. Più dichiarazione di intenti di così ?!? Massiccio disco di granitico hc-punk che lastrica la strada al futuro Kang, anche se dal suono particolarmente nitido. Un classicone dotato di uno dei migliori intro della storia del punk europeo. Contando poi che in quel momento i gruppi punk erano per ¾ ed i rimanenti tentavano la strada di un crossover né carnè né pesce, ma piscio…


Moonsorrow “voimasta ja kunniasta” & Falkenbach “… magni blandinn ok megintiri…” CD 
Ok io c’ho provato in tutti i modi a spingere il viking metal ma mi si rema contro, voi cazzo di hardcorettari intrippati con il thrash metal tedesco anni ’80 figli di papà. E’ probabile che con il viking metal non si scopi, ma secondo me manco con gli Exhumer, i Detente, gli Holy Moses e probabilmente manco con i Kreator di Pleasure to Kill, correggetemi se baglio. 
Ad ogni modo, finnici i primi, isalndese trapiantato in krande cermania il secondo (autore di tutti i pezzi ed aiutato a suonarli da turnisti vari) , 6 album per i primi, 5 per il secondo. 
Neopaganesimo metal a gogo, fanno di questi due album, tra i primi di entrambe le formazioni due piccoli cult da assaporare oziando mentre bevete cervogia del cranio di un vostro nemico a caso. Due classici del genere che vi faranno rimpiangere di essere nati sotto le alpi e non potervi vestire di pelli d’orso. Guai a non procurarseli!


The Exploited “punk’s not dead” LP/CD
Chiunque sopra i 16 anni si vergognerebbe un minimo a dire di esser fan degli Exploited a meno di ficcarli in mezzo a Gbh, Special Duties, Broken Bones, Discharge ed altri 15, sussurandone poi flebilmente il nome, possibilmente tossendo e con finto incomprensibile accento british. La mia storia con gli Exploited è andata avanti tra amore ed odio. Comprai intere discografie per posta, su vinile a 2000lire al pezzo sul finire degli anni ’80. In quel momento usciva il Mlp War Now che comprai fresco fresco di stampa. Era un proto crossover pestone senza infamia e senza lode. Mi liberai della discografia praticamente in blocco per investire in gruppi più degni di stima. Qualche anno più tardi, non pochi, ricominciai a reinvestire nel classico punk inglese, spinto dalla mesta deriva metal del Mio hardcore (il metal deve essere metal e l’hc deve essere hardcore, perdio!) ed ovviamente non potei non imbattermi anche forzosamente negli Exploited. Ne guadagnai. Punk’s Not Dead è IL disco punk per eccellenza, dotato di ignoranza, spikes e scelleratezza. Non vergognatevene più! Mai!


Brutal Truth “extreme conditions demand extreme responses” lp/cd
Correva l’anno satani 1992. I fasti del grindcore, così come lo avevamo conosciuto noi giovini aitanti italici, erano ormai seppelliti, spazzati via da gruppi storici votati ora al più remunerativo piatto death metal o sconfitti dall’eccesso di furia iconoclasta. Non mi sono mai ripreso dalla dipartita di Lee Dorrian dai Napalm’s, per fare che poi ? Un gruppo lento e noioso che strizzava l’occhio a sonorità di 15 anni prima che ho sempre odiato. Bene, quando tutto sembrava defunto la stessa etichetta che aveva consegnato alla storia della musica i pionieristici mostri sacri, tira fuori dal cilindro un gruppo con un bassista d’eccezione già noto qua per essere cimentato nei primi e brutti Anthrax, nei superlativi Nuclear Assault o nei controversi ma da tutti osannati S.O.D. La nuova rinascita di Dan Lilker, con i suoi Brutal Truth era pronta, il disco un vero killer a quattro mani. Per il sottoscritto una vera apoteosi di tecnica grind. Il secondo già era un pelo sottostante. Dal secondo in poi , con il passaggio da Earache a Relapse i Brutal non l’ho più cagati, lasciandoli al loro pubblico di segaioli pugnettisti; la ferocia svanita, l’iconoclastia pure. Peccato. E so già che se qualcuno leggerà fino a questo punto avrà sicuramente qualcosa da dire a riguardo…

My first concert was in 1993 and was Neglect at Scintilla squat  in Modena.

Let's say I'm here from those times and I have never left....

I was been voice in Egotismo, voice in No Somos Nada, collaborations with Antisgammo, Los Vaticanos, bass and vocals in Killer Koala Grindcore, and actually i do voice for The End Of A Season.

I have also two other new projects, a two bass (in-progress) and the other i play with Ceneri from By All Means and members of End Of A Season (Il Pozzo Dei Rasoi)

Since 2007 i run the diy label Fucking Clinica that is trying to survive.

Here's Marziona. I'm 31, I do drums in some d-beat/crust/stench bands and guitar in a death rock gothish one. Playing music and going on tour is my life and I'll do it till I drop.

In my life, I'm a social care teacher in projects with problem kids for the social care system.

Previous bands: Pussy Face (riot grrrl 1996 – 2000), NSA (anarcho punk 1998 – 2003), Death from Above (d-beat 2005 -), always drums. I love it.

Current bands: Kontatto, Campus Sterminii, Axis of Desolation, Horror Vacui.

I can tell you some of my fav listenings of all the time mostly for nostalgic reasons and because they include some of my fav songs ever. Hope I wont write bullshit, I'm not very good with lists and details, I just love the songs.

Capò is the former drummer of Neid (active since 2007) and drummer in the past of Tear Me Down
(1996-2006), Flopdown, Manifold, Fatality, Radio Avana, Allergia & Razzapparte (only for a few
concerts).
Neid have just released a new MCD/EP titled  "Non repetere est hereditas" with special guest from Wormrot.

He also runs a small d.i.y. distro/label called RA Records based in Viterbo since 1996 with over

Janz is the guitar player and former member of IMPACT, one of the first bands of the furious years of italian hardcorepunk (1981).
He has played with IMPACT just until they disbanded in 1994, and still play with them during their reunion (from 2006 'till today).

My name is Pulce and i am a 35 year old dude who has been active in the scene for the last 15 years and more.

I have been playing in many bands, both playing drums and singing; initially, i was also playing bass and guitar, but as  time passed i focused more on the drums and vocals.

My old bands were named xZIO FASTERx, DEATH BEFORE WORK!, THRASH BRIGADE, SSSWIISSH!, NERVI, FDM, BELLA LI', IDIOTI,  MILANO SUICIDA, PIG MISERY and i started playing drums in a punk band - heavily influenced by stuff like Submission Hold - called OGM.

Actually i sing for YOU SUCK! (fastcore with a fuck you attitude) and i play drums in a side project of the combo, called DRUG PROBLEMS. We play '80's hardcore punk influenced by old bands like Minor Threat, Reagan Youth, Teen Idles and more recent ones like U.X Vileheads, Fomaldehyde Junkies, Government Warning and the likes.

You suck! is kicking out a new flexi ep (one sided) at the end of December while Drug Problems is going to record a demotape soon.

so this is my top ten...

i decided to make 2 lists; one is about punk/metal bands, while the second is about all the rest of the musical spectrum...

20 albums are too few, but i'll try!

ALBUMS

- HERESY face up to it! (bad recording, but it's an instant classic!)
- WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? stand fast armageddon justice fighter (they were really the SHIT in late 90's/early 00's)
- SLAYER first five albums (i don't even have to explain why, right?)
- INFEST slave (everytime i listen to this gem i got shocks to my spine)
- REAGAN YOUTH volume 1 (the greatest punk band)
- RKL rock'n'roll nightmare (best punk musicians playing the most innovative and exciting stuff at those times)
- NAPALM DEATH harmony corruption (this album took me into death metal territories in 1990)
- ANNIHILATION TIME - ii (this is the perfect trait d'union between punk and ROCK! they paved the way to a lot of copycats still playing today)
- 7 SECONDS walk together, rock together (it makes me cry the "new wind" version of this album)
- CANNIBAL CORPSE the bleeding (simply a perfect brutal death metal album)
- SPAZZ crush kill destroy (their fastest, most hardcore album above all)

SEVEN INCHES

- WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? first ep (when i heard it i got completely mad)
- XBRAINIAX 31 songs ep (one of the craziest bands i've ever listen)
- COMRADES/LOS VATICANOS split ep (another classic! all the people from that scene in Rome were simply great dudes, and were playing in amazing bands. MUSTAFA' MOSH!)
- MINOR THREAT first ep (it's the first hardcore punk record i've ever listened to. i couldn't believe my ears)
- SOA no polici ep (anger, desperation, rage...punk!)
- TEEN IDLES minor disturbance ep (another punch in the face)
- U.X. VILEHEADS firts ep (another great band from Umea. this record is another crazy one)
- FORMALDEHYDE JUNKIES are a total wreck (US hardcore played at 1000 mph with a complete obnoxious edge)
- ED nailed to the board (it's a 12 inch but i consider it more of an ep...one of the best italian bands EVER)
- CRUCIAL SECTION speed core thrash (my favorite japanese thrashcore band. their live set is incredible)


ALBUMS POP/ROCK/WHATEVER...

- BEASTIE BOYS complete discography
(my first encounter with hip hop culture was with their "Paul's Boutique" album back in 1989. I don't know many other bands whose music is so complete: in their albums you can find hardcore punk, rap, funk, jazz, country, blues...and they are true musicians! I was so sad when i heard the news that MCA passed away this year due to cancer...their place will never be filled by anyone else)

- GUNS 'N' ROSES appetite for destruction
(forget all the axl rose's bullshit he's working on today; this is a masterpiece of hard rock. I got it in 1989 and still own the original copy...they never reached those peaks again)

- DONALD FAGEN the nightfly
(this guy was one of the 2 master minds of STEELY DAN; his music is a sophisticated kind of jazzy pop, and i remember my dad playing this album back in the '80s. at the time i hated it, but i rediscovered it years later and i got floored by this platter!)

- THE SMITHS hatful of hollow
(this is a compilation of BBC recordings; i love this record so much i had to buy it 2 copies!)

- HERBIE HANCOCK man child
(this is a GREAT album of groovy funk jazz; the kind of platter you can play in the background while having sex and i can assure you it works perfectly for that!)

- THE POLICE outlandos d'amour
(couldn't stop listening to this gem when i was five years old and i still love it today; it's deeply rooted in my soul and also, Stewart Copeland is one of the best drummers EVER)

- SONIC YOUTH dirty
(back in the day when there was grunge and alternative music reached its peak, this album (their second on a major label) helped the band to grow up in popularity. The messy noisy guitars are "reeducate" by a pop songwriting and a strong production. Favorite tunes "Sugar Kane" and "Shoot". Still own the original tape today)

- RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS "The Uplift Mofo Party Plan" + "Mother's Milk"
(i preferred them when they were heroin addicted, of course. The energy they spread on both albums is incredible to me still today. Not talking about the fact that they were/still are very good musicians, talented and open minded; this helped them overcoming musical bridges creating a perfect blend of funk/punk/rock)

- LOU REED "transformer"
(heroin, transvestitism, new york, poetry, sadness, love, glam, lipstick...this album has got a special place in my heart)

- WEATHER REPORT black market
(jazz prog with an ethnic imprint. When i was in primary school i used to be awaken by the titletrack, since it was the signature tune of a local radio show i use to listen every morning. it's full of groove and the sound is ahead of its time; Wayne Shorter's saxophone makes me so excited in most of the tracks. This is another example of stuff that i used to hate when i was a child but started to appreciate in adult times!
